How much is a family photo session in Toulouse?
A family session with Capture Event starts at €150 for around an hour, outdoors or at your home. Three-generation sessions start at €250, maternity and newborn sessions at €160, and a combined maternity-plus-newborn package at €290. Every session includes a private online gallery and fully edited high-resolution files.
Family sessions
Sessions last about an hour and follow the children rather than a shot list. In Toulouse we shoot along the Garonne, in the Jardin des Plantes and the Jardin Japonais, on the Prairie des Filtres and on the Canal du Midi towpath. West of the city, the Forêt de Bouconne is ten minutes from Colomiers and superb in autumn; the Lac de la Ramée at Tournefeuille is the easy option with a pushchair.
The best slot is the ninety minutes before sunset — warm light, and everyone has burned off the day. In late June that means starting around 20:15; in December, closer to 15:45. We pick the date and the place together, and we'll tell you honestly if the forecast means moving it.
Grandparents visiting from abroad, cousins, the dog: bring them. Three-generation sessions are one of the things we're asked for most often, usually the week Grandma flies in.
Maternity
The best window is between the seventh and eighth month — the bump is properly round and you still have the energy to walk for an hour. Outdoors at golden hour on the riverbanks or out in the Lauragais countryside, or at home if you'd rather keep it private. Your partner and older children are welcome in the frames.
We guide you through every pose, gently. Nobody arrives knowing what to do with their hands, and it doesn't matter. From €160.
Newborn at home
We come to you, ideally within the first fifteen days, while the newborn curl is still there. No props, no headbands, no baskets: your bed, your window light, your baby's rhythm. If the feed takes forty minutes, the feed takes forty minutes — we wait, and those frames are often the best ones.
Sessions work equally well after a birth at Paule de Viguier, Sarrus-Teinturiers or Ambroise Paré. Book during your third trimester and we'll hold a flexible window around your due date. From €160.
"We're here for three years"
Half the families we photograph arrived on a contract with an end date. Airbus, ATR, Thales, Collins, Liebherr — three years in Blagnac or Colomiers, kids at the international school, and a strong sense that this chapter needs a record.
What tends to work:
- One session a year, usually in September or early October, when the light is at its best and the school year has just started.
- A session in the first three months, while everything still looks foreign to you. The bakery queue, the Sunday market at Saint-Aubin, the balcony of the flat — these become the pictures you can't take later, once it all looks normal.
- A leaving session in the last month, in the places the children actually claimed as theirs.
- A newborn session for a baby born in France, which is a story in itself.

When to book
- Newborn: reserve during the third trimester; the session itself happens in the first fortnight.
- Maternity: book at five months for the seventh-month slot.
- Autumn family sessions: September and October fill up by late August. The Bouconne beech leaves turn from the last week of October.
- Christmas cards: shoot in early November, before the light goes at four.

Frequently asked questions
Do you speak English?+
Yes. The whole session runs in English — including the running commentary that keeps a three-year-old moving. If one parent is French, we'll happily switch back and forth.
My children won't sit still and won't pose. Is that a problem?+
It's the opposite of a problem. We never ask children to pose. The session is built as a game, and the pictures you'll love are the ones where they've forgotten the camera exists.
We live in Blagnac and don't have a car. Can you come to us?+
Yes. We shoot at home across the whole Toulouse conurbation, and travel is included within 50 km of the city. Blagnac, Colomiers, Tournefeuille and Labège are all inside that radius.
Can grandparents abroad see and order the photographs?+
Yes. Your gallery is a link you can forward to anyone. They can view and download at full resolution from the UK, the US or anywhere else, with no account needed.
How quickly do we get the pictures?+
A short preview within a few days, and the complete edited gallery within two to three weeks for sessions.
